MARCH 18, 2019 CITY OF KITCHENER
The Planning and Strategic Initiatives Committee met this date, commencing at 7:00 p.m.
Present: Councillor S. Marsh, Chair
Mayor B. Vrbanovic and Councillors D. Chapman, S. Davey, K. Galloway-Sealock, J.
Gazzola, B. Ioannidis, C. Michaud, D. Schnider and P. Singh.
Staff: J. Readman, General Manager, Development Services

Councillor S. Marsh advised this is a formal public meeting to consider applications under the Planning
Act. If a person or public body that would otherwise have an ability to appeal a decision of the City of
Kitchener to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, but the person or public body does not make oral
submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the City of Kitchener before the By-
law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
1. DSD-19-032 - DRAFT PLAN OF CONDOMINIUM (VACANT LAND) 30CDM-18207
- 280 TALL GRASS CRESCENT
- ACTIVA HOLDINGS INC.
The Committee considered Development Services Department report DSD-19-032, dated
February 6, 2019, granting draft approval to Condominium Application 30CDM-18207 for the
property municipally addressed as 280 Tall Grass Crescent. Mr. C. Dumart presented the
Report.
Councillors S. Davey and P. Singh entered the meeting at this time.
Mr. P. Chauvin, MHBC Planning, was in attendance on behalf of the applicant in support of the
subject application and the staff recommendation.
On motion by Councillor C. Michaud -
it was resolved:
That the City of Kitchener, pursuant to Section 51(31) of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990,
c.P.13, as amended, and By-law 2002-164 of the City of Kitchener, as amended, hereby
grants draft approval to Condominium Application 30CDM-18207 for 280 Tall Grass
Crescent in the City of Kitchener, subject to th, as
outlined in Development Services Department report DSD-19-032.
