SUBJECT:Appointment to Heritage Kitchener

RECOMMENDATION:
ThatJordan Baker beappointedto Heritage Kitchener as the Museum
Specialist/Conservator representative for the period ending November 30, 2020.
BACKGROUND:
After every municipal election, appointments to advisory and quasi-judicial committees take
place at the Striking Committee meeting based on the recommendations of the Nominating
Committee (the Committee). After the November 19, 2018 Striking Committee, there remained
some sector-specific vacancies on some advisory committees including a museum
specialist/conservator representative on Heritage Kitchener(HK).
Based on the information contained withinapplications,staff determinesthe eligibility of
individuals who apply to fill a specific sector and once their eligibility is confirmed, their name is
applications are first forwarded to the Nominating Committee to make a recommendation for
gislated Services/City Clerk makes a
recommendation directly to Council.
