Kropf attended from Kitchener. Major updates included: o Waterloo, Kitchener, Cambridge and the Region presented on the status of various master plans. o Drop Bike had been active for four days at that point. Questions focused on where bikes can be properly parked. Clarified just proper bike racks and warnings provided if not parked appropriately. Raises concerns on the lack of adequate bike parking and the need for residents to be able to request bike rack locations in areas of need. D. Kropf explained there has been an increase of bikes since then and the service area will be expanded to include Fairview Mall with the launch of ION. o Launch of ION. Up to 4 bikes allowed on ION in designated areas. o Grand Watershed Trail is seeking volunteers and support to increase awareness and funding to promote a series oF trails and paths running along Grand River. o Cycling into the Future provides bike safety education for middle-school kids in Waterloo Region schools. Two challenges:  Schools need to invite them and need to keep building awareness.  Funding gap. o “Who is a cyclist” campaign is coming to increase awareness of normalcy of bike riders. o A Cycling Forum in September is being held but didn’t have time to discuss so we’ll bring that to a future meeting. 2) Confirm subcommittee roles  M.
