Driver - Chair Messrs. D. Bailey, J. Jackson, R. Paul, and Ms. C. Gaetani, Ms. T. Belanger, Ms. K. Fellows, Ms. A. Gingrich Regehr and Ms. E. Waslander. Staff: B. Steiner, Senior Environmental Planner C. Boomer, Committee Administrator 1. New 2019-2020 Environmental Committee Work Plan The Committee was in receipt of the Draft Committee Work Plan. Ms. B. Steiner provided an overview and some examples of previous sub-committees established under the work plan. Lead is someone who is the primary point of contact for staff and contact to distribute additional information. The lead ensures momentum and action on the sub-committees. For example, Dave Schmidt may be able to attend the June meeting for Urban Forestry and the sub-committee can help with his action items. Several members asked previous committee members to outline their experience with the work plan. Ms. C. Gaetani advised some initiatives lost momentum over time and progress stalled. Mr. J. Jackson added the sub-committees need to connect with the associated staff person before progress can be made. He also provided the example of how the input from the Committee was incorporated into the stormwater management model. Ms. Steiner advised she can connect sub-committee members to staff members, noting some initiatives likely have multiple contacts. She advised work plans can be iterative and evolve over time. The members were reminded that nothing in the work plan is set in stone, the work plan is a living document and can adapt to the prerogative of the committee. 2.
