1. STRATEGIC PLAN EVALUATION -ASSIGNMENTS
Committee members had previously been requested to select their `Top 3' Strategic Plan topics
for evaluation. A summary chart of assignments was developed by staff and has been circulated.
Ms. K. Cooper provided a high-level overview of each Strategic Plan topic to be evaluated as
well as the materials available to assist with the evaluation. This information will be circulated
prior to the next two meetings. It has been proposed that the evaluation process be as interactive
as possible. Use of an interactive tool is being investigated for the June evaluation discussion.
2. STRATEGIC PLAN EVALUATION —APPLYING CRITERIA
Ms. K. Cooper advised that she and Ms. Stephens -Wells had discussed the timelines assigned
to the Strategic Plan evaluation and had agreed to shift the Committee's evaluation reporting to
Council in September rather than June. It was agreed that, given the number of new members
and the learning curve that may be required and allowing for an appropriate amount of
discussion, additional time for the Committee to undertake their evaluation work would be
appreciated.
The revised timelines are as follows:
• April 14th CK meeting (** meeting cancelled and will be rescheduled) — start with review of
one-third of the completed projects;
• May 5th CK meeting — review one -third of completed projects;
• May 6th All Advisory Committee meeting — receive input from attendees; and,
• June 2nd CK meeting — complete evaluation of all projects
Ms. Cooper also briefly spoke to the three-point evaluation grid which is being developed for use
in evaluating projects; this will build on the criteria already determined by the Committee.
