A special electronic meeting of City Council was held at 1:47 p.m. this date,
chaired by Councillor M. Johnston. Notice of this meeting had been previously
given to all members of Council by the City Clerk pursuant to Chapter 25
(Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
The electronic meeting began with a Land Acknowledgement given by the
Councillor M. Johnston.
Operating Budget - Direction
Councillor S. Davey requested the direction related to sidewalk snow clearing for
the downtown core be voted on separately.
The balance of the staff direction, save and except for the direction related to
sidewalk winter maintenance was voted on and was Carried.
The direction for sidewalk winter maintenance was then voted on and was
Carried.
Moved by Councillor D. Schnider
Seconded by Councillor D. Chapman
"That staff be directed to report and/or take appropriate action on the following
matters arising from the November 15, 2021 Special Finance and Corporate
Services Committee meeting relative to the 2022 Operating budget, as outlined
in the chart below:

Seconded by Councillor K. Galloway-Sealock
"That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the
following by-law for three readings and that the same be taken as
read a first, second and third times, and finally be passed and
numbered serially by the Clerk."
2.1.a To confirm all actions and proceedings of the Council.
