Belmont Afternoon Market: Sat., Nov 20 (3pm to 7pm)
Have (participating) businesses commit to putting out items or creating a vignette
in-store that focuses on "$25 or under" items to help customers have an
afternoon/evening of shopping that helps them buy fun, local (affordable) things
for stocking stuffers, host gifts, Secret Santa gifts etc. (restaurants can participate
too for sure) - it is up to the businesses to create something as small or as large
as they wish
Outside: hot chocolate and cider bar (we will see if we can get this donated so
funds can go to May Court)
Outside holiday music (radio station with event speakers if possible), trees lit
Reindeer Trail scavenger hunt for kids
Get "I love Belmont Village" tote bags printed for sale - intention to make some
profit and give kickback to May Court
Note: this does not replace Christmas in the Village; due to COVID this event is
postponed this year but if this market event has legs, it could be its own
separately branded event in years to come (in addition to Christmas in the
Village)

ADD-ON POTENTIAL IDEAS TO THIS EVENT
The Belmont Bonfire - a firepit or loaned fire table in Argyle parking lot or even
660 if possible and legal
Could even have popup shops in the garages, etc.; smores, whatever - likely not
a possible idea, but perhaps others ideas may come as a result
Email to businesses/visiting businesses - we need a commitment to participate
from a minimum number of businesses to proceed;
Belmont's Wooden Planters: Holiday Edition
Jean confirmed that these are ok to remain out over the winter
Remove dead flowers and do these planters up with birch/winter greenery and
bows to create a holiday vibe; they can be placed strategically throughout
village while keeping in mind snow ploughs

Carolyn Parks (Founder, Stuffin Stockings)
Carolyn will at some point visit businesses in the village to see who may be
willing to be a stocking stuffer collection destination for their charity (she may see
if some may be willing to put up a small angel tree, too)
Members will be given a heads up
