information regarding previous meetings of this group.

Ms. J. Stephens -Wells advised Committee members that three times each year staff provide an
update to Council on progress against projects identified in the annual Business Plan. The first
report for 2022 provides data to the end of April 2022 and will be publicly available later in the
week. Ms. K. Cooper agreed to circulate the report to members once available; this information
will keep the Committee informed on progress against the current Strategic Plan and will also
be helpful when the annual evaluation is undertaken.
Ms. K. Cooper then provided a verbal update on the status of Business Plan projects as of the
end of April 2022 noting that 21 Business Plan projects are slated for completion in 2022 with
four already done and the remaining on track with no delays anticipated. Additionally, she
commented that 16 of the 25 actions contained in the existing Strategic Plan are already
completed.
Members will also be circulated with Appendix A to the staff report listing all projects with short
descriptions and progress.
STRATEGIC PLAN — ENGAGEMENT SURVEY ANALYSIS
The Committee was provided with a copy of the survey questions used by Environics in their
public survey of Kitchener residents and a draft summary of the survey results.
REFOCUS Consultants led Committee members through a Mural software exercise which
facilitated a discussion on key findings and focused on results and gathered Committee member
feedback. Mr. R. Sa'd advised that a software link will be shared after the meeting to allow
members to provide additional input or read through the thoughts of others. Following the
conclusion of the exercise, a comment was made that questions should not be asked in a way
to achieve a predetermined response. Mr. R. Sa'd agreed this will be minimized in future
engagements
To conclude the activity, the Committee was shown the upcoming schedule of next steps in this
process, being:
