This report supports the delivery of core services in a timely manner. BACKGROUND: Certain phased condominiums require Shared Servicing Agreements for the installation of Water, Sanitary and Storm Water services to ensure Building Code and Safe Water Drinking Act compliance before all phases are registered. Shared Servicing Agreements are legislated through the Building Code Act and permit services to be legally shared between a registered condominium and its future phases during the construction process. REPORT: To facilitate the servicing of approved phased condominium developments in a timely manner, delegation of the execution of shared servicing agreements to the CAO or Department Heads, subject to review by the Chief Building Official and Legal Services, is appropriate. *** This information is available in accessible formats upon request. *** Please call 519-741-2345 or TTY 1-866-969-9994 for assistance. STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT: This report supports the delivery of core services. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Capital Budget The recommendation has no impact on the Capital Budget. Operating Budget The recommendation has no impact on the Operating Budget. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: INFORM council / committee meeting. CONSULT Staff have consulted with the Kitchener Development Liaison Committee in the implementation of shared servicing agreements. COLLABORATE Legal and Building Services staff have collaborated with representatives of the development community, and with internal stakeholders to develop a standard shared servicing agreement.
