Their practice as an artist and photographer is strengthened by their roles as a community organizer and advocate. For the residency, they are proposing a series of large- scaleportraits that engage the local Indigenous, racialized, and Black communities in their production with additional community-based activities planned around the series. The Public Art Working Group and Textile Magazine felt that their proposal best fulfilled the criteria outlined in the call, and that they would especially benefit from the mentorship relationship with Textile Magazine.
