Overview
Committee members are to review the agenda and disclose if they have any conflicts of
interest with any items listed. If they do, they will be required to sit in the gallery during
that particular item and refrain from participating in any discussion or voting on said
item. They will also be required to fill out an online form following the meeting at:

2. Vision Zero Update

Overview
Presentation from Faranak Hosseini, Project Manager for
Strategy. The presentation will cover work completed to date, the role of the ATTAC

3. Cycling Route Equity Model - Presentation

Overview
A team comprised of CycleWR members Tom Strickland, David Trueman, and Maria
Legault have created a Cycling Route Equity Model, a calculation model which assigns
a priority to all as-yet-unbuilt Triple-A cycling route segments in the City. The model
considers several factors including projected traffic volumes, connectivity, costs, and
equity. This group has earlier completed a similar model for the City of Cambridge, and
is currently working on a model for the City of Waterloo.

4. Active Transportation Report Introduction Edit and Approve

Overview
Last term, the committee and other cycling advocates asked the City to provide an
overall report or dashboard of progress made on the active transportation goals within
the Cycling and Trails Master Plan. At the February ATTAC Meeting, the City requested
a member of the committee to write a short introduction on behalf of the committee to
include in the report. Victoria Hand, Lynn Dramnitzki, and Jorg Broschek volunteered.
Expectations of Committee
The introduction will be read and open for edits, with the goal of committee approval.
5. Micromobility Introduction and Update
From: Ivan J Balaban, City of Kitchener
Overview
The City has partnered with the Region of Waterloo, as well as the Cities of Waterloo
and Cambridge to introduce a Shared Micromobility Service Provider to the Region.
This presentation will provide an overview of the work done so far, and anticipated next
steps in the process, working towards a spring 2023 launch of the service.

6. Subcommittee Workplans

Overview
Subcommittee selection and membership was discussed at the last meeting. Members
from each subcommittee will now state any projects and initiatives their subcommittee
intends to initiate during the next year. A listing of subcommittees, with membership and
projects/initiatives will be compiled for the minutes.

Present intended projects and initiatives, discuss and accept feedback among
members.
7. Ontario Bike Summit - Volunteer

Kitchener Active Transportationand Trails Advisory Committee
Overview
The Ontario Bike Summit is coming up on Monday May 1 and Tuesday May 2, in
Hamilton. The City will cover the registration fees for one ATTAC member to attend.
Expectations of Committee
Call for a volunteer to attend the summit. If multiple members are interested in going, a
name will be randomly drawn to select the successful volunteer.
8. Staff Updates

Overview
Staff will provide updates on a variety of projects and events, either upcoming or
currently underway.
