4. Digital Main Street - Website, we need to place dates, locations and times of BIA
meetings to be more transparent to the public. Also automated reminders of
meetings would be wonderful. Nicole and JD will collect emails for business
owners in the village to send info out to all owners in the Village. Could we have
students from highschool, university or college to volunteer time for website or
maybe paid with our digital money to do website work (supervised by someone
from BIA ) , we will place in our next agenda.
5. Micromobility Scooter initiative - we will move to next agenda, find more info
about them before we discuss.
6. Top Shot — (interactive hockey experience for the future). Discuss more next
meeting.
7. Levy Discussion — How do we figure out how much we need to increase the
levy. Margaret and Valeria will figure out what we need for current bills, and
then we need to access what we need to add for inflation and extras, ect. JD will
get a price on snow removal from another company, also JD will get a number on
garbage removal and clean up. We need 3 tire budget- needs - wants -
beautification.
8. Bestival — Wants emails of businesses- no we can't give that out. They need to tell
us what they want sent out, send to us, and we will send out to all businesses in
the Village.
9. BIA expansion — we figure our timeline would be at least 2-3 months before
social media is up and running. We would need one person in charge of social
media (overseer) and one person in charge of expansion (overseer). We figure
about $70.00 per hour, and we would need about 20 hours per week to complete
our social media work. Valeria will look into student grant to do digital work. JD
and George will communicate to village owners what we are doing, minutes dates
and times of meeting. We need to market to our own people, before we can
expand. George will have dates, times and minutes of meetings on website by
April 1.
10. Next step — JD and Noelle will bring an email list to next meeting. We need to
assign a step by step list of what is next to do.
11. Meet and Greet — Have a get together at Arabella to see what businesses are able
to get active with the BIA and help.
