Stephens-Wells, Chair A. Forstmanis, L. Thompson, L. Trumper and J. Young, T. Glover Staff and Guests: Justin Watkins, Manager of Corporate Planning Sloane Sweazey, Senior Policy Advisor Dave Schnider, Ward 2 Councillor Aislinn Clancy, Ward 10 Councillor A. Fritz-Walters, Engagement Program Manager—Strategic Planning A. Remillard, Committee Administrator 1. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF—NIL 2. INTRODUCTION — MANAGER OF CORPORATE PLANNING AND NEW SENIOR POLICY ADVISOR Manager of Corporate Planning, Justin Watkins and New Senior Policy Advisor, Sloane Sweazey, Compass Kitchener members, and Council members introduced themselves. 3. UPDATE ON INDICATOR DEVELOPMENT A. Fritz-Walters shared with the Compass Kitchener group that the Strategic Plan was approved by Council on August 28 and next steps were discussed. An update on Indicator Development Objectives was provided by A. Fritz-Walters to the Compass Kitchener members, via slide deck. A. Fritz-Walters also shared the plan is to take Indicator Development to CLT for their input and feedback on September 19. Meetings with staff experts on proposing a draft set of indicators will continue and then will be brought back to Compass Kitchener for discussion. 4. PLANNING FOR ALL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING J. Stephens-Wells proposed the focus of the All Advisory Committee meeting might be to introduce the attendees to the Strategic Plan as it is scheduled to be officially launched November 9. J. Stephens-Wells also proposed delaying the All Advisory Committee until early November, just before the plan is publicly-launched, then introduce it to the All Advisory Committees and a facilitated discussion could be shared around where committees see the work under their own mandates fitting into what was being outlined in the Strategic Plan and where there are benefits across committees and/or with staff on the various initiatives. J. Stephens- Wells noted her experience in the past is that All Advisory Committees weren't always tied closely into the Strategic Plan. J. Stephens-Wells invited members of the Compass Kitchener group to share their thoughts on the above proposed plan as well as the timing of the meeting. Compass Kitchener members agreed that the focus of the All Advisory Committee meeting should be on the Strategic Plan and discussed the timing of the meeting. Compass Kitchener decided to hold the meeting on Tuesday, November 7 at 5pm. 5. OTHER BUSINESS The minutes of the Compass Kitchener meeting held August 2, 2023 were reviewed. 6.
