TO GIVE WRITTEN APPROVAL OF BY-LAWS) PREPARED FOR THE January 22,
2024, MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS section 284.11 (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, R.S.0 2001 (the "Act") provides
the Head of Council with veto powers for by-laws if the head of council is of the opinion that
all or part of a by-law that is subject to this section could potentially interfere with a prescribed
provincial priority;
AND WHEREAS section 284.11 (4) of the Act provides that written approval of the by-law
can be given by the head of the council;
NOW THEREFORE 1, BERRY VRBANOVIC, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF KITCHENER,
I
COUNCIL meeting of January 22, 2024, in accordance with subsection 284.11(4)(a)(i) of the
Act:
1. All by-laws enacted under Bylaws 3rd Reading; and
2. The confirmatory by-law passed for such meeting of Council.
