BOARD OF DIRECTORS- MEETING MINUTES

Chair JD Zehr called the meeting to order at 6:05pm
1.0-2.0 APPROVAL OF AGENDA/DECLARATION OF CONFLICTS

3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES

"That the Board approves the January 23,2024, meeting minutes."

4.0 FINANCIAL REPORT
Treasurer Margaret Tofflemire presented the Financial Reports as of January 31,2024.
The 2024 proposed budget has been sent to the City of Kitchener.
Moved by JD Zehr,seconded by Valeria Rigler.
"To approve the January 31,2024, Financial Report,as presented by Margaret Tofflemire."

5.0 ACTION FROM MINUTES/NEW BUSINESS
There is no update regarding pet friendly salt and bike racks.
Action deferred to the meeting in March 204
6.0-8.0 COMMITTEE UPDATES
Digital Committee:
Chair Noelle English is holding weekly meetings with the committee. They are creating content for social media. Dave
Schneider from the Elmira BIA wants to work with the Belmont BIA for cross promotions.
Expansion committee:
Chair JD Zehr and Jay Brown will present the plan for future branding, new logo and colour palette that has been created
for the Belmont BIA by Molly Simpkins at the social event to be held at 660 Belmont Ave W on February 22, 2024.
All businesses in Belmont Village have been invited.

Event committee:
Margaret Tofflemire gave an update about events: for a spring event May-June,"Happy trails"-perhaps bike tune ups,
bike swaps,secondhand bike sale, sidewalk sale,maybe outdoor barbeque, live music,food trucks.
The Zehr Group will provide the space at 660 Belmont Ave for a vegetable vendor with bedding plants.
Events for the business in Belmont Village—first one at 660 Belmont February 22,have 3 additional get together during
the year. Maybe have a later spring get together at Graffiti Market. Holiday Market—November 23, 2024.
