April 3, 2024 CITY OF KITCHENER
The Compass Kitchener Advisory Committee met this date, commencing at 4:03 p.m.
Present: J. Stephens-Wells, Chair
A. Forstmanis, L. Trumper, J. Young, K. Brabazon, W. Rahimi, L. Terry,
Staff: S. Sweazey, Senior Policy Advisor
A. Remillard, Committee Administrator
1. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF — NIL
2. 2023 CITIZEN REPORT CARD
Compass Kitchener Members were provided copies of "Overall Observations and Looking
Ahead" (pages 14 — 17 from the 2023 Report Card) to review and consider whether they wish to
reiterate any of the same points or suggests new ones.
Members of Compass Kitchener provided lots of feedback as they reviewed and discussed the
document together. J. Stephens-Wells offered to put together a rough draft of the report card,
with the information shared and circulate in advance of the next meeting. J. Stephens-Wells
asked the members to send her any additional thoughts in the coming weeks to be added to the
report. The goal is for members to read, make changes and complete the final draft by the next
Compass meeting.
S. Sweazey to set up a meeting date in May to present the draft citizen report to CLT.
3. ALL ADVISORY COMMITTEES MEETING
Compass Kitchener Members discussed the Agenda for the upcoming All-Advisory Committees
meeting on May 8t"
As a group, it was decided that a large portion of the agenda would be time allotted for each
Advisory Committee Chair/ Vice Chair to speak to the other Committees about what their
Committee does, what their Committee's priorities are, and what they are interested in (5 minutes
each, maximum). The rest of the agenda time would be for dinner, and time for
networking/mingling.
S. Sweazey to put together the interests gathered from the Committees to be shared with all the
Advisory Committees.
