1. DISCLOSURE OF PECUNIARY INTEREST AND THE GENERAL NATURE THEREOF — NIL
2. 2023-2026 STRATEGIC PLAN CITIZEN REPORT CARD
S. Sweazey shared the following updates with the Compass Kitchener group: The Strategic
Indicators go live on the City of Kitchener website September 6, and she will share the link to
the page with them; when the Business Plan is ready, she will provide it to Compass Kitchener
members for their review; and the report card will be published in the next edition of Kitchener
Life.
Compass Kitchener members discussed whether to keep the evaluation approach used in
previous years or develop a new evaluation framework. Out of the discussion, Compass
members came up with four categories by which to evaluate projects: Responsible Project
Delivery, Public Engagement, Impact/Public Value, Transparency and Communication.
Compass members decided they are comfortable with using previous definitions and agreed
that using the Meets/Doesn't Meet/Exceeds Expectations way to grade is more reflective of them
as a group.
When S. Sweazey brings the evaluation framework forward to CLT, Compass members
indicated they would like a brief.
3. ALL ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHAIRS AND VICE CHAIRS MEETING
Members of Compass Kitchener discussed that with the 2051 Official Plan being underway it
would be a good idea to add it as an agenda item at the November 6 All Advisory Committee
meeting. Compass Kitchener members agreed it would be great to have Planning staff provide
an introduction to the plan and walk through how the plan aligns with the Strategic goals for the
All Advisory Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs.
Compass Kitchener members decided on the City Hall Learning Room as the location for the All
Advisory Chairs and Vice Chairs meeting and make it clear in the materials of our start time and
eating time.
4. OTHER BUSINESS
