SPECIAL COUNCIL MINUTES
MAY 2, 2005
CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 6:16 p.m. this date, Chaired by Mayor C. Zehr and with
all members present.
Notice of this special meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk
pursuant to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
Moved by Councillor B. Vrbanovic
Seconded by Councillor G. Lorentz
"That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held immediately following this special meeting to
consider a personal matter and two matters subject to solicitor-client privilege."
Carried.
Councillor B. Vrbanovic advised of a request from staff that Council consider an additional item arising
from the Finance and Corporate Services Committee meeting held this date which was not listed on the
special Council agenda regarding an additional funding request for the Iron Horse Trail Sanitary Sewer
Replacement project.
Moved by Councillor J. Smola
Seconded by Councillor B. Vrbanovic
"That pursuant to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code the following matter be
added to the agenda of the special meeting of Council on May 2, 2005:
· Consideration of the recommendation of the Finance and Corporate Services Committee from
its meeting held earlier this date regarding an additional funding request for the Iron Horse
Trail Sanitary Sewer Replacement project."
Carried Unanimously.
Moved by Councillor B. Vrbanovic
Seconded by Councillor M. Galloway
"That additional funds in the amount of $170,928., required for the Iron Horse Trail sanitary
sewer replacement project, be approved and be funded from the Capital Infrastructure Surplus
General Provisions account."
Carried.
Moved by Councillor J. Smola
Seconded by Councillor C. Weylie
"That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce a by-law to confirm all actions and
proceedings of the Council and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be
finally passed and numbered 2005-81 by the Clerk."
Carried.
On motion, the meeting adjourned at 6:18 p.m.
