SEPTEMBER 24, 2001CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 11:45 a.m. this date and Chaired by Mayor C. Zehr with all
members present.
Notice of this special meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk
pursuant to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
Council was in receipt this date of correspondence from L. MacDonald, Assistant City Solicitor, dated
September 24, 2001 requesting that Council repeal By-law 2001-174 and enact a replacement by-law to
amend By-law 85-1 (Zoning By-law) pertaining to Voisin Developments-Fischer-Hallman Road.
Information regarding the zoning provisions was inadvertently excluded from both the map and the by-
law. The amended by-law incorporates all of the requisite provisions as directed by Council.
It was generally agreed to give three readings this date to the repealing and amended by-laws relative to
the zoning matter referred to above.
Moved by Councillor J. Ziegler
Seconded by Councillor J. Smola
“That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held immediately following this special meeting
to consider a personal matter, two labour relations matters and five matters subject to solicitor-
client privilege.”
Carried.
Moved by Councillor J. Ziegler
Seconded by Councillor J. Smola
“That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce the following by-laws for three
readings and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be finally passed
and numbered serially by the Clerk.
(a) Being a by-law to amend By-law 85-1 as amended, known as the Zoning By-law for the
City of Kitchener – Voisin Developments – Fischer-Hallman Road.
(By-law No. 2001-177)
(b) Being a by-law to repeal By-law 2001-174.
(By-law No. 2001-178)
(c) To confirm all actions and proceedings of Council.
(By-law No. 2001-179).”
Carried.
On motion, the meeting adjourned at 11:47 a.m.
