REPORT: In an effort to divest the City of surplus lands that can be developed, City staff have proposed to sell this property on South Drive/Glen Road. An opinion of value for the said property was obtained. Notice to the public is given by way of listing on the Council agenda. No government agencies abut or surround the subject property; therefore no agencies were notified. The land was offered to the immediate neighbour to add to his holding, but the neighbour declined. We suggest that the land be offered to Habitat for Humanity at fair market value. If Habitat for Humanity declines the offer, then Coldwell Banker Peter Benninger Realty be retained to place the property on the market for sale. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds received by this transaction be put into Asset Management Reserve. L.
