Subject: EXEMPTION TO CHAPTER 450 (NOISE) -SHAWN
COOPER, VICTORIA PARK PAVILION
RECOMMENDATION:
That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise) of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be granted to
Shawn Cooper for an album release event to be held at the Victoria Park Pavilion on Friday
June 30,2006, between the hours of 7Pm and 10:30 PM.
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Shawn Cooper of Flamesburn.com is planning to host an album release party for a local
band in the Victoria Park Pavilion on Friday June 30, 2006, between the hours of 7PM and
10:30 PM. Attached is a copy of their request.
REPORT:
The event organizer, Mr. Cooper, advises that all music for the event will be played inside the
pavilion. In addition, the event is non-licensed with no alcohol being served.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None identified at this time.
COMMUNICATIONS:
No Corporate Communications required.
CONCLUSION:
Based on the circumstances surrounding this event, the By-law Enforcement Division does not
object to this request for an exemption.
