BACKGROUND: The Kitchener Gospel Temple, at 9 Conway Drive is holding a community Carnival and BBQ on Saturday September 9, 2006. The event will involve the playing of music and the use of a megaphone outside. As such, they have requested an exemption from Chapter 450 (Noise} between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on September 9t". A copy of their request is attached. REPORT: The Temple will undertake to advise the adjacent community of the event. The By-law Enforcement Division is not aware of any recent history of noise complaints involving any type of event at the Temple. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None identified at this time. COMMUNICATIONS: No Corporate Communications required. CONCLUSION: Based on the circumstances surrounding this event, the By-law Enforcement Division does not object to this request for an exemption.
