BACKGROUND: Mr. Shawn Cooper of Flamesburn.com is planning to host 3 album release parties for local bands in the Victoria Park Pavilion on 3 dates this fall, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Attached is a copy of his request. REPORT: The event organizer, Mr. Cooper, advises that all music for the event will be played inside the pavilion. In addition, the event is non-licensed with no alcohol being served. A similar event was held in June of this year by the same organizer and we are not aware of any concerns raised with regard to noise impacting the adjacent neighbourhood area. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None identified at this time. COMMUNICATIONS: No Corporate Communications required. CONCLUSION: Based on the circumstances surrounding these events, the By-law Enforcement Division does not object to this request for an exemption. Shayne Turner Director of By-law Enforcement Encl.
