OCTOBER 23, 2006 CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 6:13 p.m. this date, Chaired by Mayor C. Zehr and with
all members present.
Notice of this special meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk
pursuant to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
Council considered a recommendation arising from the Community Services Committee meeting this
date with respect to an Offer to Purchase of a portion of lands municipally known as 409 Weber
Street West, Kitchener, and 185 Weber Street, Waterloo.
Moved by Councillor G. Lorentz
Seconded by Councillor J. Smola
"That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute an Offer to Purchase, satisfactory to the
City Solicitor, with 1598094 Ontario Inc., for the purchase of a portion of lands municipally
known as 409 Weber Street West, Kitchener and 185 Weber Street, Waterloo, for the
purposes of constructing a stormwater pond, to an upset limit of $250,000., plus any
associated real estate fees and transaction costs to an upset limit of $15,000.; and,
That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary documentation to complete
the conveyance; and further,
That Council approve an extension of Conestoga-Rovers current Purchase Order in the
amount of $15,650. to complete a Schedule B Class Environmental Assessment in order to
implement the necessary stormwater controls during the Guelph Street reconstruction."

Seconded by Councillor G. Lorentz
"That leave be given the Mover and Seconder to introduce a by-law to confirm all actions and
proceedings of the Council and that the same be taken as read a first, second and third times, be
finally passed and numbered 2006-201 by the Clerk."
Carried.
On motion, the meeting adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
