APPEAL - HOT DOG LOCATION - 640 QUEEN STREET

RECOMMENDATION:
The Committee's direction is requested.
BACKGROUND:
By-law 2004-258 requires a 200-metre distance separation between a Refreshment Vehicle and
a Place of Refreshment and a 400-metre dstance separation between two Refreshment
Vehicles. This requirement is for both new and renewal applications.
REPORT:
Attached is a letter from Nisar Jafferi requesting an appeal of the Manager of Licensing's
decision not to issue a licence for the operation of a hot dog cart at the above address. He has
received permission from the owner of 640 Queen Street South to be located outside of his
variety store.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
There is currently one refreshment vehicle within the distance separation. They have been
notified of this request

The refreshment vehicle that is within the distance separation has been notified of this request.
