REQUEST TO OPERATE 2 HOT DOG CARTS AT 273
STOKE DRIVE AND 112 WEXFORD CRES. - DURING THE
ANNUAL COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE - MAY 7,2005
RECOMMENDATION:
That the request of Les Halat to operate two hot dog carts at 273 Stoke Drive and 112 Wexford
Crescent during the annual Community Garage Sale on May 7, 2005, be approved, provided
the necessary licence is obtained, including Health and Fire approvals.
BACKGROUND:
Les Halat is requesting permission to operate two hot dog carts during the Community Garage
Sale held in the area of Stoke Drive. He has received permission from the homeowners at 273
Stoke Drive and 112 Wexford Crescent to locate his cart on their driveway during the day of the
sale.
REPORT:
This is a residential area and would not normally permit this type of operation. Also, By-law
2004-258 (Refreshment Vehicles) does not permit a licence to be issued until Council approval
has been obtained.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Council has approved a similar request from this applicant in the past.
