BACKGROUND: Mr. Shawn Cooper of Flamesburn.com is planning to host album release parties for local bands in the Victoria Park Pavilion on the 8 dates as indicated in the above recommendation, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 10:15 PM. Attached is a copy of his request. REPORT The event organizer, Mr. Cooper, advises that all music for the event will be played inside the pavilion. In addition, the event is non-licensed with no alcohol being served. Several similar events have been held earlier this year by the same organizer and the By-law Enforcement Division is not aware of any concerns raised with regard to noise impacting the adjacent neighbourhood area. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: None identified at this time. COMMUNICATIONS: No Corporate Communications required. CONCLUSION: Based on the circumstances surrounding these events, the By-law Enforcement Division does not object to this request for an exemption. Shayne Turner Director of By-law Enforcement Encl.
