CRPS-05-122
KINGSDALE NEIGHBOURHOOD ASSOCIATION-REQUEST
TO OPERATE A REFRESHMENT STAND AT WILSON
PARK
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Kingsdale Neighbourhood Association be granted permission to operate a refreshment
stand at Wilson Park from July to September, 2005 on weekday evenings and Sunday evenings
during sports events operating at these times, with the exception of the weekends of Aug 6-7 &
13-14 provided the necessary licence, including Health and Fire approvals is obtained.
BACKGROUND:
Council policy requires that Council's permission must be obtained prior to any licence being
issued for the sale of food on city property.
REPORT:
Attached is a letter from N. Smith, Kingsdale Neighbourhood Association, requesting permission
on behalf of the Neighbourhood Association to operate a concession stand at Wilson Park
selling hot dogs, pop, freezies, etc. They would like to operate this stand on weekday evenings
and Sunday evenings during the sporting events operating at these times. This would be a
fundraising effort to support youth programming for the children this Association serves.
Community Services has been notified of this request and are prepared to support it.
