CRPS-05-125
REQUEST FROM KITCHENER CHARITIES BINGO ASSOC.
TO OPERATE A PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT GAME
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City of Kitchener has no objection to a Provincial Licence being issued to the Kitchener
Charities Bingo Association to conduct a $5,000.00 Progressive Bingo game on an ongoing
basis, commencing September 5, 2005.
BACKGROUND:
The Province of Ontario through the Alcohol and Gaming Control Commission allows Bingo
Associations to make application to them for additional special games. The prizes can
accumulate to a larger amount than the regular bingo games, which hopefully will entice more
players to play at their hall.
REPORT:
Attached is a letter from Mr. Bill Pegg, Chairman of the Kitchener Charities Bingo Association
requesting Council's permission to apply to the Province of Ontario for a Progressive game to
be operated on a continuing basis in their hall at 29 King Street East.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.
