Subject: EXEMPTION TO CHAPTER 450 (NOISE) - 170 LOUISA
STREET
RECOMMENDATION:
That an exemption to Chapter 450 (Noise} of the City of Kitchener Municipal Code be granted to
Sherryl Petricevic at 170 Louisa Street, for a graduation party on Saturday July 7, 2007,
between the hours of 3 P.M. and 1 A.M. on July 8, 2007.
BACKGROUND:
Mr. and Mrs. Petricevic are holding a graduation party for their daughter at their residence in the
afternoon and evening of Saturday July 7, 2007. There will be some music playing from a
normal stereo system throughout the event. As such, they have applied for an exemption to
Chapter 450 (Noise) for the event. A copy of their request is attached.
REPORT:
The By-law Enforcement Division indicates that there is no history of noise problems at this
address. The Petricevic family has indicated that they will be advising the neighbours in the
vicinity of the event.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None identified at this time.
COMMUNICATIONS:
No Corporate Communications required.
CONCLUSION:
Based on the circumstances surrounding this event, the By-law Enforcement Division does not
object to this requestfor an exemption.
