Weber Contracting Limited, Breslau, Ontario at their tendered price of $2,846,846., including provisional items and contingency of $159,880. and G.S.T., and further that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement satisfactory to the City Solicitor. BACKGROUND The City of Kitchener Engineering Services wishes to proceed with the reconstruction of Guelph Street (from Moore Avenue to Ellis Avenue) which involves the replacement of all underground services and surface works including road, curb & gutter and sidewalk. The infrastructure has reached the end of its' useful life and is in need of replacement. This work also includes the construction of a storm water management pond. REPORT Tenders were advertised publicly in The Record, The Daily Commercial News, the City of Kitchener website and on the Internet through the Ontario Public Buyers Electronic Tendering Information System. Nine (9) potential bidders picked up tender documents, and by the closing date of Thursday June 14th, 2007, five (5) tenders had been received. The tender submitted by Sierra Construction Ltd., Woodstock contained an arithmetic error that has been corrected. This correction did not affect the ranking of the tenders.
