Hicks, Morley, Hamilton, Stewart, Storie 2. Mathews, Dinsdale & Clark LLP 3. Dunsmore Law be pre-approved as law firms to be used by the City for labour employee relations issues. REPORT: Historically, the City of Kitchener has utilized the services of two law firms for general employee relations matters and arbitration issues. Both firms, Hicks, Morley, Hamilton, Stewart, Storie and Matthews, Dinsdale & Clark LLP are long standing, reputable firms in the employment law, a sub specialty of general legal matters. Recently, we have begun to use a third firm of: Dunsmore Law The principal of the firm is a former partner in the Hicks, Morley, Hamilton, Storie Firm. The decision as to which firm to use on a given matter will depend on the nature of the issue and Human Resources knowledge of the background and strengths of the individual lawyers. The decision to hire outside legal council for any particular case is done in consultation with the Chief Administrative Officer. The decision as to which firm will be utilized is made by Human Resources and approved by the Director of Human Resources. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: As determined on a case by case basis.
