BACKGROUND: The Doon Valley Golf Course Expansion Business Plan was approved by Council in May 2007. The expansion approval was contingent on the City receiving all the required agency approvals, including the approval requirements mandated by the Ontario Municipal Board. REPORT: The Ontario Municipal Board at the conclusion of the Hearing issued Orders establishing conditions relating to the City of Kitchener's successful application for the expansion of Doon Valley Golf Course. Three of those conditions require either the granting of easements or the conveyance of land as listed in the recommendation section of this report. Development and execution of the necessary documentation to give effect to these transfers is required in the next couple months. Report No: CSD-08-038 2 FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: There is no cost associated with the development of the necessary documentation referenced in the recommendation. The financial implications pertaining to the granting of these easements and the conveyance of the land are within the scope of the approved Business Plan for this project which was previously presented to Council and approved. CONCLUSION: Support of the recommendation will allow staff and the project consultants to continue to garner the necessary approvals required to commence construction.
