JUNE 9, 200$ CITY OF KITCHENER
A special meeting of City Council was held at 4:18 p.m. this date, chaired by Mayor C. Zehr with all
members present except Councillor B. Vrbanovic.
Notice of this special meeting had been previously given to all members of Council by the City Clerk
pursuant to Chapter 25 (Council Procedure) of the Municipal Code.
Council considered a recommendation arising from the special Finance and Corporate Services
Committee meeting this date regarding the Water and Gas Utilities GIS Data Conversion Project.
Moved by Councillor J. Smola
Seconded by Councillor G. Lorentz
"That $485,000. be allocated from the following sources to provide funding for the Water and
Gas Utilities GIS Data Conversion Project:
• Gas Capital Surplus $436,500;
• Watertight Study $ 30,000;
• Watermain Replacement $ 18,500."
Carried.
In regard to the in-camera agenda this date, Councillor J. Gazzola inquired as to why discussion on
the first topic needed to take place in-camera. Council was advised that it involved a land acquisition
/ disposition matter and would provide context for a future discussion.
Moved by Councillor J. Smola
Seconded by Councillor G. Lorentz
"That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held this date to consider a personal matter, a land
acquisition /disposition matter which is also subject to solicitor-client privilege and two matters
subject to solicitor-client privilege."
Carried.
On motion, the meeting adjourned at 4:21 p.m.
