Subject: REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO SELL MERCHANDISE AT
CITY HALL ROTUNDA - 200 KING STREET WEST -
OSTEOPOROSIS CANADA -NOVEMBER 14, 2008
RECOMMENDATION:
That the request of Osteoporosis Canada to sell merchandise in the City Hall Rotunda, 200 King
Street Weston November 14, 2008 be approved, provided the necessary licence is obtained.
BACKGROUND:
Council policy requires Council approval prior to a licence being issued to allow sales of
merchandise to take place on City property.
REPORT:
Attached is a request from Kate Harvey, Area Manager of Osteoporosis Canada requesting
permission to sell pearl jewellery at a Community Education Forum being held in the City Hall
Rotunda on November 14, 2008.
All proceeds will be used to support the local osteoporosis chapter in raising awareness of
osteoporosis.
This is the first year for the event in Kitchener.
