Weber Contracting Limited, Breslau at their tendered price of $518,518., including provisional and contingency items of $7,680. and G.S.T., and further that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement satisfactory to the City Solicitor. BACKGROUND The City has undertaken environment remediation on selected properties to remove buried ash- fill. This tender was initiated to provide restoration of said properties on Clifton Road to facilitate construction of four semi-detached units. REPORT Tenders were advertised publicly in The Record, the City of Kitchener web site and on the Internet through the Ontario Public Buyers Electronic Tendering Information System. Seventeen (17) potential bidders picked up tender documents, and by the closing date of Thursday October 19th, 2006, six (6) tenders had been received. The following tenders were received: J. Guelph ON $571,670.72 Hazco Environmental Services, a Division of CCS Inc. Kitchener ON $656,507.82 Sittler Environmental Inc. Elmira ON $658,721.10 The tenders were reviewed by R. Fedy, Frontline Environmental Management, the City's Consultants for the project, and J. Witmer, Director of Building and Environmental Remediation, who concur with the above recommendation.
