No. 08 -84, Supply and Delivery of Stationery Supplies, be awarded to Corporate Express Canada Inc., Waterloo, ON for a three (3) year term, with an option to renew for a further two (2) year term. The City of Kitchener's estimated total dollar usage over a one -year period represents $81,348.93, including P.S.T. and G.S.T. BACKGROUND In keeping with standard terms for the Co- operative Purchasing Group of Waterloo Region (CPGWR), a request for proposal was issued by the University of Waterloo on behalf of the CPGWR. Participants of this request for proposal included the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, Conestoga College, Waterloo Catholic District School Board, Waterloo Region District School Board, Grand River Conservation Authority, Region of Waterloo, City of Waterloo, Waterloo - Wellington Community Care Access Centre and City of Kitchener. REPORT The request for proposal was posted on the Merx website March 17th, 2008. Eight (8) potential bidders picked up proposal documents, and by the closing date of Thursday April 3rd, 2008, two (2) proposals had been received. A list of responding parties follows for your reference: Corporate Express Canada Inc. Waterloo, ON Grand & Toy Waterloo, ON The proposals were reviewed by D. Foreman, University of Waterloo, D. Scheerer, City of Waterloo, S. Wright, Waterloo Region District School Board, and J. McCarty, Region of Waterloo, on behalf of the Co- operative. The Review Committee recommends awarding the proposal to Corporate Express Canada Inc., Waterloo, ON. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS Funding will be provided from various City operating indices as the stationery supplies are used by a variety of facilities within the City. The price has decreased 7.6% for 2008 based on the previous year's usage report. Larry Gordon Director of Purchasing
