BACKGROUND:
Further to direction from Council to review the City's salary and wage structures on a regular
basis, a market review of 9000 Series wages was undertaken based on our comparator
municipalities' 2008 rates. The 9000 Series classification schedule is used to assign rates for
positions not associated with any Collective Agreement, for employees who are typically
required for summer or part-time employment. Recommendations for adjustments are based
on the results of the market wage review and minimum wage requirements.
