Vrbanovic, Chair, and Members of the Finance and Corporate Services Committee Date of Meeting: March 30, 2009 Submitted By: Dan Chapman, General Manager of Financial Services and City Treasurer Prepared By: Saleh Saleh, Senior Financial Analyst Ward(s) Involved: ALL Date of Report: March 25, 2009 Report No.: FIN-09-038 Subject: STATEMENT OF REMUNERATION AND EXPENSES (2008) RECOMMENDATION: For information REPORT: Section 284(1) of the Municipal Act provides that the Treasurer shall, in each year on or before March 31, provide to the council of the municipality an itemized statement on remuneration and expenses paid in the previous year to: each member of council in respect of his or her services as a member of the council or any other body, including a local board, to which the member has been appointed by council or on which the member holds office by virtue of being a member of council; each member of council in respect of his or her services as an officer or employee of the municipality or other body described in clause (a); and each person, other than a member of council, appointed by the municipality to serve as a member of any body, including a local board, in respect of his or her services as a member of the body.
