SUBJECT: MODIFICATION TO PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN
AMENDMENTAND SITE PLAN CONTROL BY-LAW
AMENDMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
1. That city initiated Official Plan Amendment No. 80 attached to DTS-09-054 be
amended as outlined in DTS-09-083; and further
2. That city initiated amendment to the City's Site Plan Control By-law attached to
DTS-09-054 be amended as outlined in DTS-09-083.
BACKGROUND:
Staff report DTS-09-054 was presented to the Development and Technical Services Committee
on Monday May 11, 2009 and approved for Council consideration.
REPORT:
Staff is recommending that Council modify the proposed amendments to reconcile minor
editorial issues.
Staff propose to amend the proposed Official Plan Amendment (OPA) No. 80, as contained in
staff report DTS-09-054. Reference made in proposed Policy 1.6.5 to the "Regional Official
Policies Plan" should be revised to read "Regional Official Plan".
A minor editorial change is also being proposed for the corresponding proposed amendment to
the City's Site Plan Control By-law as contained in staff report DTS-09-054. Proposed sections
684.4.1 and 684.4.2 should be renumbered to 683.4.1 and 683.4.2.
Neither of the proposed changes affects the intent or purpose of the OPA or Site Plan Control
By-law amendment in any way.
