SUBJECT: FOREST HILL T-BALL AGREEMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute afive-year agreement, subject to the
satisfaction of the City Solicitor, with Forest Hill T-Ball Association Inc. for the use of
storage space located at 1700 Queen's Blvd, Kitchener, Ontario.
BACKGROUND:
The Forest Hill T-Ball Association is a City of Kitchener Minor Sports Affiliated organization that
entered into a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kitchener when they became a facility
partner in the Forest Heights Community Centre in 1998.
REPORT:
The City of Kitchener, through the Forest Heights Community Centre, and the Forest Hill T-Ball
Association have enjoyed a mutually beneficial working relationship over the past ten years. By
using the expertise of volunteers in a variety of roles (executive members, coaches, etc) Forest
Hill T-Ball Association has allowed many area children and families the opportunity to partake in
quality recreational programming including Blastball, T-Ball and Rookie Ball.
The original agreement between the City of Kitchener and the Forest Hill T-Ball Association Inc.
is up for renewal and the terms of the agreement will continue to allow the Forest Hill T-Ball
Association rental storage space within the Forest Heights Community Centre.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This Agreement will generate $9,000 in rental revenue over the five year term of the agreement.
