(PIN 22427-0062 LT) to legalize three proposed awnings which will encroach approximately 12", more or less, over the Ontario St. S. road allowance." BACKGROUND: The property owner of 77 Ontario St. S., The Sports Link, has been awarded a grant through the Downtown Facade Improvement Program. The City Design Committee instructed The Sports Link to include three awnings on the Ontario St. side of the building. REPORT: Further to a request of the City Design Committee for The Sports Link to include three awnings as part of the Downtown Facade Improvement Program, the property owner of 77 Ontario St. S. has submitted a request to legalize the proposed awnings which will encroach over the Ontario St. S. road allowance. Two of the awnings measure 20" x 24" and one awning measures 54" x 24" and are all located at least 8' high off of the sidewalk. The three awnings will encroach approximately 12" over the Ontario St. S. road allowance. Attached is a sketch illustrating the location and dimensions of the proposed awnings. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: N/A B.3-1 CONCLUSION: The appropriate staff has reviewed this request and has no concerns with the location of the proposed awning.
