Nelco Mechanical Limited The Roberts Group Inc. Sprint Insight Inc. BACKGROUND: Waterloo, ON Kitchener, ON Kitchener, ON North York, ON Further to Council's approval of March 23rd, 2009, a prequalification process was initiated to select up to six (6} Mechanical Sub-Contractors to be used for the Kingsdale Community Centre Construction project. REPORT: In accordance with Chapter 170 of the Municipal Code pertaining to the Prequalification of Contractors, Expressions of Interest were advertised in The Record, on the City of Kitchener website and the Internet through the Ontario Public Buyers Association Electronic Tendering Information System relative to this project. Documents were downloaded by five (5) interested parties. By the closing date of Tuesday June 9t", 2009, five (5) submissions had been received. 1 iii) - 1 The submissions were forwarded to The Walter Fedy Partnership, Kitchener, the City's Consultant for the project, for review and prequalification ratings. A shortlist of four (4) Mechanical Sub-Contractors was selected. A listing of the responding parties follows foryour reference. Sprint Insight Inc. North York The Roberts Group Inc. Waterloo FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: There are no financial implications to the prequalification process. Tenders will be forwarded to all four (4) prequalified firms for the project.
