Ltd., Greely, Ontario at their tendered price of $275,152.50, including provisional items and contingencies of $35,300. and G.S.T., and further that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement satisfactory to the City Solicitor. BACKGROUND: Engineering Services intends to proceed with the trenchless rehabilitation of sanitary sewers under Highway #8 (King Street bypass). The work includes installation of 350 mm dia. sanitary sewer by jack and bore method under Highway #8 between Kingsbury Drive and Kingsway Drive. Based on the Capacity and Infrastructure Analysis for Freeport Sewage Pumping Station conducted by AECOM in July 2009, it was noted that the existing gravity system between Kingsbury Drive and Kingsway Drive has capacity restrictions. To address the capacity reduction issue of this sanitary system, it is proposed to install new 350 mm dia. polyethylene pipe parallel to the existing 250 mm dia. sanitary sewer. ii)-1 REPORT: Tenders were advertised publicly in The Record, the Daily Commercial News, on the City of Kitchener website and the Internet through the Ontario Public Buyers Association's Electronic Tendering Information System. Eight (8) potential bidders picked up tender documents, and by the closing date of Thursday November 12t", 2009, two (2} tenders had been received. The tenders were reviewed by S. Shah, Design Engineer, who concurs with the above recommendation. The tender received from Elgin Construction, St. Thomas, contained an arithmetic error that has been corrected as shown. The following tenders were received: TOTAL BID CORRECTED PRICE TOTAL BID PRICE Marathon Drilling Co. Ltd.
